10pm - Car along Hasting Street, 2 briefcases stolen.

The recurring sound of the smashing window and signal of the car alarm managed to get my lazy ass off the seat to see what was going on outisde.

Then, I witnessed a theft; first time ever in my entire life!

The guy swiftly grabbed the briefcase from the boot of the car(the glass window which he smashed) and passed it on to his accomplice on the bike, just riding past. seems rather well- planned. then he took the other briefcase and cycled off on a bike that was leaning against the fence. swift and well executed.

Sounds like a primary school essay hor!

Anyway i freaked out. shudd i call the police? (no use cos i'm like 10 floors above them and obvious i didn't see any faces). so instead of calling the police, i called Pat. haha. to narrate the story.

Trip to heaven

Spring has come and we all ought to rejoice for the good weather but...

You know how people say that you will never realise how important one is to you until you lose him/her?

Well, I glad that I realised it before he decided to reunite with grandma up in heaven.

Though I cannot be there physically to send you off, you'll be fondly remembered as ah gong who played the fish card games with me, ate my cornflakes at 11pm and had a very healthy porridge and fish diet every meal.

it's been a long while since I ate some good restaurant food (ok excluding the lovely buffet lunch at Burj Al Arab..the previous one was the Japanese buffet at Rotterdam!)

thanks to khailin's last minute.com link, we snagged a place at Brasserie Roux, a French restaurant in Sofitel Hotel

choosing the starters and mains, I got duck and pistachio (that looks like luncheon meat!) and panfried wild fillet trout mm! i was quite shocked when I walked in and said I had a reservation and the woman said, "Oh yes Miss Lynn.." Thumbs up service!

Anyway the lunch was supposed have 7 of us, Alison, Ashraf, Hongmin, Joyce, Kenneth and Pat but Hongmin pangsehed!that silly girl off-ed her phone for 2 days and didn't receive my msg :x and Ashraf had to meet his econs tutor!

Earth Hour

After a wholesome bak ku teh dinner, we decided to be part of earth hour. well ok we tried. we switched off the lights to watch the dvd moulin rouge. awesome movie!

healthy living

i'm not motivated enough to come up with healthy living diet plans and count every calorie i consume but i'm on my way to healthy living

after dinner at mandarin kitchen last night, we decided to head over to the nearby tesco metro to do some dessert shopping (and at the same time delay some time so that the ppl back in hall had time to prepare the surprise for jas). as usual, we head over to the dairy products section..and guess what we saw..

muller corner --> 4 for 99p!!!!

my eyes lit up and i hurried got the attention of the rest. similar reactions followed HAHAHA. still can't believe i lugged home 16 muller corners, half of which were my fav chocolate cornflakes with banana yoghurt. haha ignored the shock faces of some tesco customers and headed over to the cashier to make payment. even the cashier was a lil shocked. hahaha.

when the snow falls

into late march and the snow falls. i heard it was like this last year too. in one day, central london experiences the sun rain sleet & snow.

just that day, it snowed again and 3 msn convos popped up saying "eh look out of the window it's snowing!" excited me got dressed in my jeans and fluffy jacket, all ready to embrace the snow, then it stopped -.- damn the snow! 5 more mins please!!

walking makes me tired these days. just yesterday, hughes parrians decided to go shopping along oxford st and most of them got stuff (i'm waiting for my goodies from barca!) taking the my newly discover route from oxford st to chinatown, i met minshin dear for late lunch at abeno too and enjoyed my very yummy okonomi yaki lunch set(basically it's like a panfried battered pancake)! long lazy lunches are always good for the disgestive systems (((: after that short trip out of my room, i came back and napped for FOUR straight hours. what a pig.

after months of being in the cold and gloomy kingdom, i was really glad to see the bright cheery sun out in the land of paella. Madrid, a place that many people found boring, but turned out to be quite a pleasant experience for us (perhaps we've been forewarned and planned to stay there for a night only)

that marks most of the places we've been to in Madrid, missing out some of the post dinner events that happened to me but shhhhh. for a non football fan, i actually liked the bernabeu stadium cos the museum was organised and informative (to let noob me know who were/are the players from real)

the largest pizza i've even eaten. its size beats pizza hut handsdown.

speaking of which we were hungry enough to gobble down the pizza ( i swear our eyes lit up when the plaza delivery came). we took a 5hr bus ride from Madrid to Valencia, only to realise that our hotel is situated somewhat like the outerzones of Valencia. After taking the Metro to the nearest station to Beta Hotel, the man told us that our hotel is a FIVE KILOMETRES walk from the station. i almost fainted. in the end we took a cab to the hotel. but the snuggly warm and comfortable room made up for everything (:

at breakfast, it dawned upon us that Beta Hotel was probably some elderly resort cos the average age of the visitors was 60!?

we found our way to the beach easily but were slightly annoyed with the fact that we were not dressed and equipped for the beach.no towels no shorts no sunblock. we inverted an umbrella to put our stuff on it and started playing bridge again! afterawhile, i decided that it's a must to lie on the sand and soak up the sun so i did so for a while b4 we had our picnic lunch and scurrily left to avoid getting sunburnt.

Valencia city centre- it was the eve of fallas; it was as if the whole of valencia decided to come out of their houses

oily churros in the making; i like! a pity we didn't have ours with chocolate :(

the cathedral that has the holy grail, supposedly the one only that has been recognised formally. a pity we didn't get to see it though :( damn those festivals.

while wandering through the streets, we were initially quite disgusted with the garbage mess after the fireworks display. but the rubbish was cleared within 45mins! impressive! and after realising that the places of attractions were all probably closed, we decided to catch a bullfighting match!

lucky us manage to catch this match (i thought there were only gonna be matches in summer) but after watching it, i realised the impression i have of bullfighting was totally skewed. in actually fact, the bull was definitely going to die no matter what and the glory goes to the bullfighter. stinks. and it wasn't a one on one throughout the entire match, only after the bull has been pierced, 'hooked' to suck its blood, will the oh-so-glorious bullfighter turn up to end the bull's life.poo! but it was an exciting experience nonetheless :)

that night, we gobbled down our paella (it was my fastest meal in a very long time) as we wanted to rush to catch the last bus back to our hotel. the metro was jammed so we decided to run to the terminal omg. i was sooooooooo tired after that. really so tired. my strides were half of yihsheng's so i had to double my frequency to keep up. OMG. haha how did i do it that night. but lucky for us, we did manage to catch the bus back to our comfy hotel.

left for Barcelona early next morning in a Supra bus. really super. it was 10odd euros more than the usual buses (we didn't want to wait for 2hrs for the cheaper buses) but the service was shiok!the seats were big and comfortable, we had food serving throughout the entire 4hrs (snacks drinks sandwiches chocolates souvenir) and 'in-bus' entertainment!

after roaming the streets and checking out zara, we headed over to Port Olypmics for seafood(thank you for giving in to me and travelling to the port for seafood :) :) :) )

After realising that my baby lobster was slightly uncooked, we were all secretly hoping that they will have excellent service and replace the whole plate (after me and Pat cleared 3/4 of it) but they didn't :( all they did was to redo that lobster and return it to me. dream on lynn. haha.

set off early next morning for nou camp (we were early so we stood outside to play..bridge again!) the stadium was HUGEass man. i really wished we had a chance to catch a match there (ironically, barca was playing against valencia that night, if only they played at nou camp instead)

we were that close to meeting ronaldinho! the reporters were camping outside the gates cos he was supposedly coming out..

after leaving the souvenir shop, Nic decided to peek into the basketball stadium and guess what gem he found! CSKA Moscow was actually training in there! their accuracy was like at least 85% la. zai. we were indulging and enjoying the perfect scorings until their manager (or just someone) came up to ask us to leave. (actually it was only then that we found out that it was CSKA Moscow, we had this weird idea that it was Barcelona initially)

Park Guell

we headed to Park Guell after the stadium tour and we conquered the steep slope!i decided to reward myself not one, but 2 pairs of earrings from a street seller at the park (eh don't play play, it says gaudi on my earrings ;p)

Gaudi is king. really. His works are all over Barca and I'm proud to say we covered at least 5 of his works!

La Sagrada Familia

I swear my canon does no justice to this temple. it's really way prettier than this (thats why i insisted on getting the postcard) it's just so huge and maginificant! anyway the works will only complete in 2020 and we've agreed to return to Spain again then to see the finished product! :)

we visited la pedreda and casa batllo as well but we wanted to save some money for zara so we skipped the visiting and just stood outside (i'm sure we'll return someday to visit those places again ;) )

the tragedy of it all, was that I DID NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ZARA:( dumb me wanted to wait till the last day to shop (so that i can spend every single cent i have left) but i forgot that our last day in Barcelona is good friday! all the shops were closed:( sian. it was really ultimate sianness:( we had the last day free for shopping but now all our plans down the drain. we spent 2 hrs playing our fav game again! met my Turkish roommate(when we were in Madrid) and realised that Dali's Museum was nearby!

wednesday break

decided that i shall have a break today since singsoc mtg and floorball trng were both cancelled. perfect for skipping that one hr (boring yawn) lecture. i thought i'll go down for breakfast earlier so that i can come up and do some reading but i ended up telling my floormates about the weird incident that happened a few days back. it was like 2am in the morning, i was skyping, when this guy dashed into my room (i usually don't lock my room until i go to bed) threw down a loaf of bread (note: LOAF omg) then ran off towards the back stairs. i almost died when so much happened in like 5secs! and apparently he tried doing that to others on my floor as well but they all locked their doors n were aslp so i became the victim.dung. (ps but i didnt tell her i was the one who threw the loaf of bread out of my room such that it ended up in front of my neighbour's door!)

skyped with besties in singapore n australia(4 way skype sessions on wednesday rock!) and my sis as well. to add to all the boliao stuff i did, i played online checkers and minesweeper with yihsheng!!!boyohboy.i played the longest lasting session of checkers in my entire life man.

see i managed to do so many things just for skipping ONE lecture! good exchange!! :) :) :)

dinner at aki restaurant was alright, but i was charged 2 pounds for brown tea poo them!we should have refilled it a few more times (what a typical singaporean!) and i had grilled mackerel no complaints even though it was not that cheap i really miss fish. and i mean proper fish not fish and chips!

Mergers and accusations/ wanjun if u read this: u did well babe so proud of you! the play was not bad, only thing was that the seats sucked! me n joy moved around during the different scenes so that we can have a clear view. after the break, we got literally the 'hottest' seats in the house- we sat on the heater and had an absolutely fantastic view of the whole show!

2 more days to SPAIN. i am e-x-c-i-t-e-d!

cardiff hairdresser (:

zomg i like my new hair cut :) totally adore that hairdresser, think he's called nick. don't know how to pinpoint it but he's really good! a pity he works for a salon in cardiff or else I'll definitely go back to him for my haircut next time! I was that close to opening my mouth to ask for his number so when I visit Cardiff I'll go get a haircut again! that 2.5hrs haircut was definitely worth it!

now my hair's so short, I feel colder than usual walking down the streets!

weekends always seem so short-lived. another short-lived weekend has gone by. 3 more weeks to end of term!

dinner at holborn on fridays seem to be a weekly (fortnightly seems more accurate) event in my calendar. we gather cook eat mahjong/pool/pingpong/talk. it's homely, it's nice (: it's so blessed to have such wonderful company to make my life here full more complete (even though I still miss family)

London Fashion Weekend today was fun not cos of the items they sold, but cos of the company!sarah was one of the first few ppl I met in hall and it has been a long time since we hanged out together! In fact, we both did not get anything from the fashion show and spent all our food on chocolates and famous south kent crepes! (though i really did wanna get a bag but it was too expensive :( )

Singapore, we did it!

singapore is hosting the 1st ever summer youth olympic games!!

hahaha was in the school comp lab when it struck me that the results for the youth olympics will be out today. n the moment i loaded ST, boom! i saw "WE DID IT!" haha. how patriotic of me cos i was rather proud of singapore for that moment! :)

phantom today was decent and it was the FIRST musical that I did not doze off /shut my eyes! and we came back for tangyuan which zhaoyang kindly treated us to!! so nice to have tang yuan on yuan xiao (i thought i'll have to miss it this yr!)

i'm growing; i need a lot of sleep these days :x

the cold weather did not spoil our moods as we headed to Salibury and Stonehenge. Beautiful stones I must say, and we lingered for over an hour. we spammed lots of photos to make our 4.70entrance ticket worthwhile. I'm sure Wee Keat, Mr Photographer, will agree that Salibruy and Stonehenge have many gorgeous scenic to take. Can't wait to see his photos.

I survived the longest day of the week once again :) Mondays are just pure long torturous days. After 2 hrs of lectures, I have a break stats break then french and by the time I get back home it's about 6!!!! :(

I was supposed to go for my long overdue haircut this weds but ppl keep telling me that it's like cutting away my good luck blah blah blah and superstitious me decided to postpone the appt! :x Now I'll have to tahan the messy and unkempt hair for another 2 weeks..

I AM SUPER EXCITED THE UPCOMING EASTER BREAK! I know it's supposed to be like a mugging break since it's exams after this but real holidays are very important too! Future housemates and I are going to Spain together; first trip to test if we can stand each other for the next 2 years!! xD AND SPAIN HAS NICE AND CHEAP ZARA :) I promise to not to change too excessive amounts of euros so that I can't spend much on shopping. Plus the exchange rate now is crap :( Anyway, all that matters in a holiday is:

singapore flyer

I want to fly home to celebrate Chinese New Year. Then take the Singapore Flyer. Then come back for school. Ok kidding.

Contrary to popular belief, international students in London still do get to celebrate Chinese New Year (and it's actually quite a lot!) although we don't get to have chu yi and chu er off. Poo. Imagine going to school on a chu yi.

Basically there was some sort of celebration every day since weds starting with 'reunion dinner' followed by mahjong. Then there was dinner at hare and tortoise (laksa!), more mahjong (3rd time this week!), steamboat (OCF!) and HC carnival today xD Haha somehow celebrations always revolve round FOOD.

Can't believe I always do dumb things like forget to put my memory card back into my camera thus I didn't manage to take photos. blah!

Ok let's talk about today since I finally put back my memory card into my cam:

nice weather; i thought. haha i wore a long sleeves shirt w berms out today and almost died on my way back! on the way to hc carnival

lazy sunny afternoons :)

i love sundays. besides the fact that i can wake up extra late, it's also my skype day, catch up with homework day and stay in my cosy room doing the most random things(like go through sec4 photos all over again), or meet ppl to do random stuff (last wk was shopping, this wk dimsum lunch!)

i remember back in jc, sundays are breakdays. i wake up to mummy's market breakfast "ah girl u better wake up now or no more XX(depending on what she bought that day) for you!"

then in j3, i was a weeee bit more sensible so i will go marketing w mummy after she drops ah gong off for church. i really attempted to do that even on saturdays that I come back late :) after that I'll rush off to give tuition to my favourite tutee. She's the dream student all tutors wanna get: intelligent humble and does all the work you give(of cos she slacks off at times..)

If only there are more sundays.

LSE Singapore Society Mahjong Competition :)

I promise myself never to be 'dong' again! Whenever I'm 'dong', I lose like crap! But yesterday's competition was pretty exciting despite the fact that there were only 12 participants -.- And to think that 3 out of the top 4 were from year 1 xD

After losing terribly at the first round, the few of us decided to play amongst ourselves! Lucky fingers and cards contributed much to my piggy bank! After that game, I finally broke even after losing painfully to wanjun that weekend!

gleeful me after i won erm a 5point game. aiyah. but it's only that once!

friday. madhouse. i actually giggled when the lady pasted $32.90 worth of stamps on one envelope (speedpost!) after submitting the deed to HR i took the hour long journey down to KATONGGGGG (it's really very far ok..) to meet fb for early lunch!(we didnt wanna meet the freakin' lunch crowd!)

so noob i finally tried astons YAYYY :D for that price it's definitely worth it and worthwhile even for westerners to travel down there to eattttt heh.i was in fact very very delighted and satisfied although i usually hate to travel out far to eat.

i hate to do countdowns. i thought there was time. but now i'm left w 3 weeks (20days to be exact.) it sucks to do something and halt to think ,"Will this be my last time doing this before I leave?" Like last time nua-ing on the stonehard rosewood chair, sleeping on my comfy pillow and saliva-stained(eww) bolster, sitting at in front of this desktop to type a post, waiting for the familiar postman scooter to deliver my 8days everyday tues (i just received it (: ). i reckon it's starting to sink in: i'm really going to leave my comfort zone for 3 years and head to the biggggg city!

the rain during dinner initially made us think of going for a movie instead of NS, but the rain stopped! jm decided to ps us to go home to do his darling essay (latest check he is 2 paragraphs into it) and left. night safari was such a touristy outing that i just had to go before i leave! the rain was a lil spoiler but nevertheless the trail was quite fun trying to spot the creatures in the dark!

Nina left this morning. 6am to be exact! hahah she was still packing at close to midnight ( hopefully I wont be doing that..!)

Eggy came over from Holland V and we decided it was very bad to visit and bid farewell empty-handed so we did what we could best do at that time: shop at 7-eleven! It was really not bad. We decided to buy things that are practical (ie no flowers) and she can't get them over there (ie Singapore pdts)..So we got her marmee, khong guan biscuits, ribena pastilles, seaweed and healthy chips( i insisted on that cos it's yummy and relatively healthy compared to things like lays!)

Anyway we kinda managed to get her out of the house earlier than she wanted to cos i told her i am waiting at the busstop for her alr!! feeling bad, she came out immediately YAY(: ohoh n a funny phone conversation:

Me: Eh Nina! Hurry come out I'm waiting for you here. With a BIGG surprise! (which is Eggy duh)

pool that day w the LSE ppl (there's got to be a better name than that hmm.) inspired me to do some to my lousy pool skills so i met pool pro for breakfast then a game at pool junction! it was random breakfast at toast box since all the other cafes/eateries were not opened yet..

it's a rewlly decent place!i like!

oh and next to pool junction was The Labyrinth which looks even pro-er than this! according to pool pro the pool tables at Labyrinth are designed like the ones used long ago each pocket has a basket to hold the balls instead of one main collection basket (u know what i mean!)

when my pool's a lil more decent nx time we can visit The Labyrinth!

met pattypoo and jas for lunch and while walking to the MRT we met qing another random! sat down at starbucks to talk for awhile and we met charmaine ong and amy tan (separately!) small world. hur hur!

and we had good buys too! patpat got the esprit jacket she had been eyeing for a long time (and additionally bonus she had another 20% off cos I had the esprit card and it's my bday month!) and i got pretty prettyfit shoes yay (:

ok i'm tired but now it comes to dinner! dinner was with a small of lse-mates at east coast lagoon food village! our first food trip and many more to come!peeeektures!

then when the satays came (40 to be exact) and the auntie was trying to save the earth so she put all 40 sticks onto one small plate leaving us with many small bowls of satay sauce! so our side of the table had no satays! nicholas just kept giving us the satay sauce but NO SATAYS!

we had 4 bowls of this and no satays!

heh ok just kidding. then they passed over the yummy satays too (:

and not before long the food were all in our tummies!

oh yeah hongmin turned up for the dinner. i'm pretty sure she left quite an impression on the lse ppl alr hahaha. my dearest friend 7years of friendship and 3 more yrs of FUNNNN YEAH! :)

i love fireworks!

that was probably one of the better shots i caught(: brilliant fireworks but i still thought last year's were wayyyyyy better!

shopping with xin was fruitful but fruitful isn't good cos it just means spending more money!can't believe i was convinced to get the dress in the end.i won't even get a chance to wear it there cos i'll be freezing my ass off.eurgghh!

anyway this yr it wasn't just me and angie along (and we didnt wait for like omg 5hrs!). smart us booked a reservation at Ichiban Boshi and so we didnt have to join the snakingly long queues whahaha!

feeling guilty for down-ing sooo many pineapple tarts today, i decided to jog round the estate (my very small estate cos 1 round is a measly 600m!) and when i was at my final round, this guy sitted outside this house under renovation commented :'wa xiao mei ni hen hui pao hor!' i was so amused that i almost tripped! uncle wo bu hui pao! in fact my running is so horrible i hope to survive the SHAPE run!

i can't believe i actually said that! and i thought it was a tad too long but HR said it's interesting so i was supposed to keep that.

i would think that this ceremony is very much more cozy than the 'yinghuochong' ceremony. food's good. the guests are comfortable with one another too. and i didnt stutter on stage WHEEEE.it'll be really embarrassing if i did.

Look at the bottom left picture: Mr Loh actually squatted a lil so that the scholar behind can be seen! bravo Mr CE!

spent quite some time mingling with future colleagues so i ended up not taking pictures with the other scholars poo! :( hopefully HR sends us some of the photos soon!(:

added another cardigan to my pack!haha at the rate i'm going 30kg baggage is definitely not gonna be enough!

on another note..i'll be going for flu vaccination later i'm praying damn hard that it won't hurt. 19 year olds shudd not cry when taking jabs! :)

this is an older entry but oh well here goes!

one fine evening,the benzene ring decided that we shall head to Holland V instead of town and for supper instead of dinner! heh as usual few were on time and by the time we settled down it was almost 45mins after the meeting time!

bleaugh the flash!

another failed attempt to make me drink(: ordered a jug and we all shared whee. oh with pizza too! vijay was late as usual so he came like 1.5hrs after we met!tskkkk!

inside the bar there was an inner room. in fact i'll call it the freezer room cos it's really like a beeeg freezer!we jumped in it to keep warmth and tried challenging each other to see how long we can place our hands on the ice bar top! george being the only bio student there reminded us "eh take your hand off if it feels numb ok!"

we totally loveeeee this peekture(: the guy there was very patient and nice! me and angie sneaked behind the bar wanting to be 'bartenders' but he caught us!

heh they have pink jackets for ladies and white ones for guys!

after we left eski bar, we walked to cold rock(but nobody seemed to want icecream except me n geri!) and with angie's ndp tools we did the following at coffee bean:

yummy breakfast set at coffee bean made my day(: it's so nice to laze the morning away there(minus the fact that i woke up damn early in the morning to go process my visa)

n the meeting with tx turned out to be more than just a meet up; we ended up shopping!we concluded that we influence each other to spend more and spend decisively. see. try. like. buy! luckily we're not the kind who go for lv and co!

toured round the NTU campus. literally. besides visiting xin's hall 2 and eating the yummalicious waffles (though i still think prima deli waffles rock more) we practically walked through the entire campus starting from hall 7 all the way till hall 14! (i think the school maps shudd be updated.seriously.)took a good whole hour before i actually found mich and gang!

small lil facts i noticed:

just as PTC wants to increase the frequency of bus services, i doubt there's a need to increase that for bus 179 but yes please for the shuttle buses!
canteens can do away w the houseflies!
up down slopes will be tiring but quite fun for a jogging route (hahaha doubt i'll try that though)
i will definitely lose my way in there(oh well i just did that today anw) cos the school is soooo freakin big and connected somehow!
i don't see students dressed in singlets and fbts much!(contrary to what i heard..)

and thankfully angie's GOOD friend gave us a lift to jurong east so Dione and I took 52 home. Funny how I knew her for years but never talked to her like this before! Man that girl will have a uber fun time in NY!(:

it's so easy to make me happy.

the true yoga consultant tried to con me into signing up for more months. the fact that i'm going london is a very good shield cos they will stop trying to convince you since the chances of me signing up again is 0!

after getting our pay from synergy (finally!) we went to ikea!such a happy place with w the cutie furniture n cutlery! xin got her hostel necessities i.e.bedsheet,quilt cover,etc. hostel life is so exciting!esp since she has seen her room and know exactly what she can do to it. sigh i dont know even where I will be living where's my hostel accommodation!!!!!

after that we zoomed off to queensway to check out the new pretty adizero tempo shoes!

ok even this does not do justice to the shoes. firstly this is the guy's series (i cant seem to find the ladies one) and the colours are much nicer. like pink green and..isit red. hmm. anyway it looks good and will definitely be good but the price is OUCH.

so instead we began scouting for others and finally (after much consideration) i settled for this one!

the guy who sold me this calls himself peterpan!n the indian uncle is very nice too n their prices are cheaper than the rest!!like how i got a more expensive waterbottle instead of getting the same one from them:( it's just 2bucks difference but knowing that you can get a cheaper one in the nx shop sucks.silly me.

i'm so in denial and disillusioned.

i just witnessed my parents signing the HDB form yesterday. it's official. we're buying a place at bishan.

not that it's bad thing since i love bishan and have been living in this area all my life. i just don't want to move out of my current place (no that i'm moving anytime soon i'm just forwardlooking!)

the area there is quite nice n the location is pretty convenient (no more buses everywhere but i have the MRT!) only thing is that it's a small house. damn. this sounds so spoilt but i do like the fact that I have a very big kitchen (boohoo the new one is less than 1/3 the current one) and we have a decent dining area! forgive me for being anal abt this but i enjoy the fact that the family can sit down at a nice table to have dinner and spin spin the lazy susan(:

only request i have from mummy is to design a built in wardrobe for our room!even if that means less space left for other furniture i dont mind!

the world's really small. apparently the seller was my mum's ex student (she was teaching there when he was studying but they were never in the same classroom i think) so it was quite funny when he took out the old photographs and my mum was scanning through it hoping to find some familiar faces!

anyway i really like this picture!dinner with benzene ring that day this was at dempsey rd b&j such a nice cozy place.and we all wore different coloured shirts so the picture looks so colourful (duh).

THEN again i think we didnt have many chances to take public bus together since we always took the sch bus in primary sch -.-but anyhow a wave of emotion hit me suddenly n i smiled when i saw that. must have looked like an idiot. oh well. ((((:

oh yes i completed 1 thing on my to eat list - xiao long bao! but i was sooo disappointed cos the xlb at dingtaifeng sucked:(sigh thats equivalent to not 'eating' right.

*my first day

my first day jobless yesterday but there was much to do!

lazed in bed till i was happy and had my breakfast before i made my way down to SPRING to settle some documents!judging from the ppl i have to work in future there, i'm rather pleased cos my future colleagues are sooo amiable and warm! (:

then dropped by town to get tickets for harry potter (kiasu me!) and lunch with dear fb! the wonders of student passes. hahaha dont ever surrender it to the ticket office ppl cos it's so useful HAHA i managed to get a yoshi student meal cos of that xD

OOH yes we wanted to catch dimsumdollies! but the seats were bleaughh guess we're not fated to catch it this time :( now is probably the best time to go mango and try all their clothes so it's sooo freaking empty. but then again, the good sizes are gone so defeats the purpose of going. rawr.

hatha yoga with xin!hahahha we've been too easy on ourselves (doing just yoga therapy or gentle yoga) so we almost died yesterday! my poor arms are still aching!! okok i shall make it a point to go for hatha instead of gentle/therapy :) then we sat around to talk for an hour b4 we decided OOPS we didnt wanna use the treadmills since we were alil hungry ard :x

armed with this wk's 8days, we headed down to superfamous to try the recommended mini burgers. omg the burgers were really. mini. luckily it was during the some promotion period so i got a martini and got a complimentry burger! not too bad!

i like the walkway to superfamous bistro!arty farty.

looks alright hur? the burger is reallllly puny ok. me and xin were still hungry after that so we went to soup spoon for more food la!

i swear i was never a transformer fan and i nv intended to catch the movie but i'm glad i did! after many friends told me how fantastic the show i decided to catch it!

anw i'm so proud of maybs!she got her driving license yesterday with ZERO points during the test!seems like everyone is passing their driving tests!!! :)

firefly come back to me, make the night as bright as day..

promptly left sch at 3pm to meet Carmen at rj!after handing my Olevel cert for certified true copies, we hurried down to stb for the meeting thinking that we'll reach on time. efficient 132 brought us there 30mins b4 the mtg time so we visited That CD Shop. i nv knew Carmen was such a cheena girl!

hahah first time meeting the other firefly scholars!and my first time meeting the other SPRING scholars as well!after hearing so much abt the other SPRING girl (Nicole) i finally met that sweet wellarticulated girl!YAY that means more company in london!

it's pretty much a gathering cos i know a few of them!haha 22 scholars this yr only hmm.i was expecting more since its THE dragon year.

Anyhow, 3 very nice snr scholars gave us a briefing outline of the performance we were supposed to do after watching theirs. They did so many items in that short 30minutes(not very short afterall)I'm so glad we don't do this everyday.It's not exactly our forte to dance skit sing!
but i'm quite sure it'll be fine. YES it'll be! >.<

anw i saw my interviewer for STB third round!i was excitedly looking at the scholars to see if they recognise him as well(maybe like he interviewed some of them too!) but to no avail. dont know if he still recognises me but i had one of my best interviews with him!(:

today i bravely ventured to the gym myself (first time since i signed up w true yoga). as usual it was an empty gym and muahahah i had all the equipment to myself! quite pleased w the run i treated myself to chocolate with almond nuts(((:

n as i was walking to take a bus home, my ankles had blisters from the new shoes i wore:( it was terribly pain so i decided to try my luck to see if mum wants to pick me up!surprise surprise! daddy was at home and he offered to pick me up from granny's place. but i decided to walk to the nearest station n take a ride to bishan b4 he picked me up from the busstop. terrible decision. i snailed to the MRT station because i really really couldn't move my painful feet:( haii. vanity kills the feet. maybe i shudd stick to birks!

but anyhow point is.i realised it's so easy now to pick up the phone and call for SOS and it arrives almost immediately. daddy mummy on stand by 24/7 (ok not always..) but when i'm over at london in future and i get blisters, i can't call anybody to pick me up and send me back to hostel:( ok that sounds uber childish but it's true true true.n in spore i can afford to cab home if there's a need. but not in LONDON!too expensive to bear the cab fare hahaha. i'm starting to appreciate what i have and i will take more rides from daddy mummy now b4 i go over.

or better still. let me pass my driving next week so i can drive myself!!! :)

I know its annoying to keep changing blogs but livejournal uploading pictures online b4 i can upload on the blog is irritating me! i'll try very hard to maintain this blog. esp if it's gonna serve as the link btw me and my friends n family when i go overseas :x

for once i did AM session relief teaching. my first time in months waking up at 6am so obviously i was in quite a grouchy mood. didnt help that the p6 girls went "lynn er!" when i stepped into sch. hahaha aren't they still suppose to call me Ms Er even if i don't teach them! >.<

class 4H drove me up the wall and i almost vomitted blood my gosh!all the yelling threatening sweet talking didn't work on them at all! thank goodness shaun came to relief me after 1 blk or else i would really have lost my voice shouting at them. heh. i know i sound evil but i was happy when he said he made the kid cry (cos he threatened to bring him to the P's office HAHA)

but all in all morning is good cos it rocks totally to be able to leave at 3pm((((:

today is meet friends and be happy day!met val angie and ilman for late lunch/dinner at lido!our fav hideout during RGS days!!i rmb the tables big screens and frequent refills at the KFC machines xD totally rocks to be able to just hang ard the whole afternoon..laughing at the silly things we did in the past, about what we wanna do in future and of cos how we must make it a point to meet up frequently(: it's just..nice :)
